Nugget #16 - Every single morning write your script out before calling.
You can’t go in cold picking up the phone. As soon as someone answers and you’re not warmed up you fumble all over yourself, feel embarrassed and just planted seeds of call reluctance.
Use your time before dialing to write out what feels right to say that day. It won’t be the same static call script everyone else is using. The words will feel slightly different every day.
Some days “did I catch you at a bad time?” feels like a natural opening, others it’s “how’re you doing today?” Maybe you want to get straight into the reason for the call when they answer.
There is no right answer besides what feels right to you. Your customer will feel that confidence.
